Faith Angler Network High School Fishing Series kicks off the 2015/16 season on Lake Belton September 26th at Temple Lake Park on Lake Belton. Lake Belton will be the site of the first qualifying event for the 2015/16 High School Fishing Series. Located on the Leon River in Bell and Coryell counties this 12, 385 surface acre lake is home to one of the largest populations of small mouth bass in the State and sure to be key to a successful strategy during this tournament.
This will be the first of three qualifying events in the FAN High School Series where qualifying student anglers will compete to qualify for the 2015/16 FAN High School Championship with over $6000 in scholarships and prizes, and the Berkley Anglers of The Year for one successful team.
In addition, the top 12 anglers will qualify for the Skeeter Boats Super Six Tournament on Lake Fork summer 2016.
To qualify for the 2015/16 FAN High School Championship student anglers must have competed in at least two qualifying tournaments. There are two methods to qualify once you have met the minimum number of events.
- Top 10% – Student Anglers finishing in the top 10% of any qualifying tournament
- Top 50% – Â Student Anglers finishing in the top 50% of a designated High School fishing program
Captains will also be recognized with the Academy Sports + Outdoors Captains Awards including a $100 Academy gift cards for the highest place finishing Captain. Who is eligible.
Registration is open to all 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. The entry fee for each tournament is $40 a boat with no more than two team members and each team member must be a TBF Student Angler Federation (SAF) member, in addition, a one-time FAN High School Fishing Series Membership of $10.00 per individual is required. Contestants must also have the signature of a parent or legal guardian in the provided space on the liability form.

Registration deadline will be Thursday September 24th 9PM.
FAN High School Fishing Series Entry Fee will be $40 per team. After that time, a $10 late registration fee will be assessed until the start of the tournament and at that time no more registrations will be accepted. Late registrations will not affect the number of places awarded for the tournament.·

Where
Check in will start at 5:30 am at Temple Lake Park boat launch. There will be a boat safety check and we will release boats in numerical order at safe light approximately 7:00am
Weigh in will be at the Temple’s Lake Park Pavilion Group Shelter, you must be checked in by 2PM or late penalties will be assessed.
