FAN held its first event of the 2024/25 season on Lake Belton Saturday October 5th, 2024. Hosted by BLORA presented by Kistler Rods, with 246 student anglers and captains attending. The day started of as a typical fall morning with temperatures in the mid 70s however quickly rose to the mid to high 90 like another summer afternoon in the Texas hill County. As the day progressed, and the student anglers made their way across the stage one thing was certain. It was great to be back on the water and seeing our FAN Family again and all the smiling faces as they chase the chance to qualify for the 2024/25 FAN Championship with over $15,000 in scholarships, prizes, and the coveted Angler(s) of the Year title.
Taking the WIN representing Fredericksburg Battlin” Bass with a 15.80 limit including the 7.91 Kistler Big Bass was the team of Peyton Holmes and Stran Spenrath with Captain Tim Holmes.
In the second spot was another Fredericksburg Battlin’ Bass Team of Jack Gioffre and Dawson Wren with a 14.88-pound limit including a 7.19 kicker largemouth bass. Captain Brady Wren
Placing third was Sterling Andrews and Brady Palermo with Llano Fishing Team they brough in a 5 fish limit tipping the scales at 13.47. Captain Alan Palermo
