Lake Buchanan rose to the challenge to produce some great fishing and plenty of smiles for 190 Student Angler participating in the second qualifier of the 2024/25 season. They were greeted with a very pleasant 50 degree fall morning that would warm up to a breezy 75 afternoon and one event closer to the 2024/25 FAN Championship with over $15,000 in scholarships, prizes, and the coveted Angler(s) of the Year title.
We were Blessed to have Logan Loessin , Youth Pastor for Flames of Glory Cowboy Church in Bastrop TX and a former FAN Staffer. Logan Loessin shared the importance of building a relationship with Christ in your teens to prepare for the storms you will encounter. You are the next generation of leaders and now more than ever our Nation needs equipped, empowered, Spirit filled young leaders in our schools and communities. Thank you Logan.
Taking the WIN with and impressive 5 bass limit at 19.29, last season AOY’s Ty Gass and Ethan Del Rosario representing the Llano Fishing Team with Captain Allen Gass
Taking 2nd place honors for the second time this season, and after two events leading in the AOY standings by 2 points, was the team of Jack Gioffre and Dawson Wren from Fredericksburg Battlin Bass. They came to the scales with a 5 fish limit weighing 18.35 including the Kistler Big Bass of the day at 5.59 caught by Dawson. Captain Brady Wren
Also, with back-to-back 3rd place finishes representing the Llano Fishing team Brady Palermo and Sterling Andrews with 5 fish at 18.29. putting them in second place in the AOY Standing 2 points out. Captain Alan Palermo.
