This past Saturday, we were blessed in more ways than one during the fourth and final qualifier of the 2024/25 season, presented by OT Wear. Leading up to tournament day, unseasonably high winds swept across Texas, leaving us uncertain about the conditions we’d face. But as 65 teams arrived at Coleto Creek Park, we were greeted with a perfect spring day—a beautiful lake, ideal weather, and an incredible atmosphere for our FAN family.
It was a day filled with competition, camaraderie, and faith. And as if on cue, once everything wrapped up and the evening settled in, the winds came roaring back, and temperatures plunged by 30 degrees. Talk about divine timing!
Thank you, Jesus, for a truly special day on the water.
A Moment Greater Than the Tournament Itself
Before we dive into tournament results and recognition, we need to take a moment to share the most incredible part of the day—one that took place immediately after the weigh-in.
The FAN family had the absolute privilege of celebrating the water baptism of Student Angler Connor Runyan. In a bold and powerful declaration, Connor stepped forward to say, “I belong to Jesus. He is my identity.”
Surrounded by his fishing team, the Bass Club of Champions, his family, and the entire FAN community, Connor was led to the water by Kristin Burford for this incredible moment of faith and commitment.
What a true gift and blessing it was to witness! Thank you, Connor, for allowing us to be part of your journey, and thank you, Kristin, for presiding over such a special occasion.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Bass Club of Champions for hosting this incredible event. A special shoutout to the cook team for serving up some amazing sausage wraps, chips, and drinks—ensuring everyone was well-fed.
We are also incredibly grateful for the Coons, Tami Hutchinson, and the many other volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to making this tournament a success. It truly takes a great team, and we are beyond blessed to have such an amazing community.
Thank you all for your hard work and support!
