FAN Wildcard April 5th on Lake LBJ

                                                                                                  Presented by

The final tournament of the season is here, marking the last opportunity to secure a berth in the 2024/25 Championship, where over $15,000 in scholarships and prizes await!

While most spots are already locked in, the Wild Card presents a last-chance opportunity for anglers to earn their place in the championship. It all comes down to this—who will rise to the occasion?

WILD CARD

The Wild Card is a NO POINTS event and will not affect the AOY standings.

FAN will grant the top 10 teams a berth to the Championship, provided they have fished in at least three tournaments and have not yet qualified.

This event also serves as a final opportunity for those who finished in the top 10% during a qualifying event or are above the cut line and need one more tournament to meet the three-tournament minimum for the season.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS AN OFF LIMITS OTHER THAN POSTED ON LAKE – THE MARINA AREA SHOWN BELOW IS OFF LIMITS

A map of the bay with several boats docked in it.

About the lake

Location: On the Colorado River in Burnet County, near the towns of Marble Falls, Kingsland, and Granite Shoals with a surface area: 6,449 acres. Impounded in 1951 it has a maximum depth of 90 feet. The shoreline surrounding Lake LBJ is highly developed, with miles of bulkhead and boat houses that provide cover. Several creeks wind back off the main lake, providing shallow vegetative cover in the form of water willow and spatterdock. The area near the dam is rocky and clear, while the upper end of the reservoir is more sandy and stained. A small power plant is located in the Horseshoe Bay area, discharging hot water during the winter, when forage and game fish will concentrate in this area. Many submerged brush piles are hidden beneath the surface and can provide excellent angling opportunities if located. Don’t expect these honey holes to be advertised, good electronic sonar equipment will be needed to find these structures.
