Anglers may launch from any boat ramp on Canyon Lake. FAN will be set up near Boat Ramp 3 at Comal Park for weigh-in and tournament activities. We will confirm weigh site at park by November 4th.
Comal Park Launch & Parking Fee: $10 per vehicle
- May Leave Boat Launch Area: 6:30 AM
- First Cast: 7:00 AM
- Scales Open: 12:00 PM
- Last Cast: 2:00 PM
- Fish Check-In: 3:00 PM

Registration closes Wednesday, November 4 at 9:00 PM CST.
Registration and payment must be completed online. Late registrations may be considered for complete teams only and will be added to the bottom of the launch sequence.
Boat numbers will be randomly drawn and posted by Thursday, November 5 at 9:00 PM.
🚤 Morning Check-In — GroupMe Required
This is a trailering event with no physical morning check-in.
Anglers may launch from any boat ramp on Canyon Lake and may leave the boat launch area beginning at 6:30 AM. First Cast is 7:00 AM.
Once your boat is on the water, the captain or anglers must check in through FAN GroupMe.

⚖️ Weigh-In & Afternoon Check-In
FAN will be set up near Boat Ramp 3 at Comal Park.

Teams must be in the weigh-in/check-in line by 3:00 PM.
Every team must personally check in at the FAN holding tank/check-in area whether weighing fish or not.
GroupMe does NOT count as your afternoon check-in.
⚠️ Guide Cutoff
Friday, October 9 — Last day guides may be used on Canyon Lake.
Boat captains, coaches, parents and participating student anglers may not fish with guides or obtain fishing locations or GPS data on tournament waters during the restricted period.
🎣 FAN Fishing Derby — Canyon Lake
Open to young anglers age 6 through 12th grade.
The FAN Fishing Derby will also be held at Comal Park.
No tournament team or boat required!
- $25 Derby Membership covers all 5 FAN Derbies
- Current $60 FAN Student Members — Derby included
- Junior Division: Age 6 through 5th grade
- Student Division: 6th–12th grade
- All species
- Artificial or live bait
Schedule: Check-In 8:30 AM • First Cast 9:00 AM • Lines Out 1:00 PM
Awards: Junior Most Fish • Student Most Fish • Overall Big Fish
Prizes will be awarded on the main stage before the FAN Tournament awards.

🙋♂️ PARENTS — WE NEED YOUR HELP!
As we continue to grow the FAN Fishing Derby, we need parent volunteers to help us make it happen.
We need extra hands with check-in, assisting young anglers, recording fish and helping keep the Derby running smoothly.
You don’t have to be a fishing expert. If your child is participating, please consider jumping in and serving alongside the FAN team.
🏆 Championship Qualification
Anglers must fish at least 4 of 5 qualifying tournaments to be Championship eligible.
Top 10% — Finish in the Top 10% at a qualifying event
OR
Top 50% — Finish in the Top 50% of qualifying anglers based on total qualifying points.
