Google Maps

When – October 1st, 2022

THIS WILL BE A TRAILERING EVENT.

This means you are free to launch at the ramp of your choice. There are several boat ramps available to avoid larger groups and lines at any one ramp. There will not be a physical check-in location that morning – we will be using GroupMe

Register for GroupMe here.

ALL ANGLERS MUST CHECK AT WEIGH-IN REGARDLESS OF IF THEY ARE WEIGHING FISH OR NOT. FAILURE TO CHECK IN WILL RESULT IN A LOSS OF TOURNAMENT/AOY POINTS.

FAN NEEDS TO KNOW EVERYONE IS SAFE AND OFF THE WATER.

You may launch from your chosen ramp as early as 6AM, however, you may not start fishing until FIRST CAST at 7AM.

The last cast will be 1PM and you will have 2 hours to get to the weigh-in location.

Please be mindful of the time required to get boats on trailers and get to the weigh-in location.

Scales will be open at 1PM and will close at 3PM (unless otherwise indicated by the tournament director on the day of the event due to unforeseen circumstances).

EVERYONE MUST PHYSICALLY CHECK IN AT THE END OF THE TOURNAMENT – NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

YOU MUST HAVE AN ADULT CAPTAIN AND TWO QUALIFIED STUDENTS OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. Only Captains and student anglers are allowed on the boat during the tournament.

All FAN Anglers must be registered to the FAN GroupMe App and check in with messages when prompted by FAN on the morning of the tournament.

Register for GroupMe here. FOR RULES AND REGULATIONS CLICK HERE.

PLEASE REMEMBER – YOU WILL NEED TO PAY AT THE HONOR BOX IF USING TRAVIS COUNTY PARKS RAMPS!

· We will message last-minute changes or updates on the  FAN Facebook page.

Who is eligible? Registration is open to all 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students. The entry fee for each tournament is $50 a boat with two team members and a qualified captain. Each team member must be a FAN member. Contestants must also have the signature of a parent or legal guardian in the provided space on the liability form of the online membership registration. Each team must consist of two eligible student contestants and one adult boat captain.  Weigh in – First flight is due in by 2:00 PM at the holding tanks. You MUST be checked in at the check station on your designated flight time or be counted late. If you are not weighing in fish, you still need to check in to indicate you are off the lake or you will not be awarded points.   Registration –

All teams must register by Wednesday, September 28th at 9:00 PM CST.  The registration deadline is the Wednesday prior to the tournament via online registration and online payment only.  Late registrations may be considered Saturday for complete teams only and will be added to the bottom of the boat launch sequence. Please contact info@faithanglernetwork.com with any questions regarding registration or if you will register late.

About the lake:

Location: On the Colorado River northwest of Austin in Travis and Burnet counties with a surface area of 18,622 acres and a maximum depth of190 feet Impounded in 1942 Lake Travis is dominated by rocky banks, steep cliffs, and clear water typical of a highland reservoir. The water tends to become more stained as one moves up the lake, with some portions of the upper end more closely resembling a flatland-type impoundment. In the lower end of the reservoir, marinas, floating boat docks, rockpiles, ledges, and steep drop-offs provide cover for game fish. When the water is high, largemouth bass anglers should concentrate on the flooded terrestrial vegetation that lines the banks. The upper end of the reservoir will have more flooded vegetation. Many large creeks enter the lake and hold game fish year-round.

Current Junior Water Body Records (Rod and Reel)

Largemouth Bass (FAN Member) Trace Jansen caught Feb 28th, 2021 15.32 Pounds caught on a wacky rig
