LBJ TOURNAMENT ANNOUCEMENT (CHANGED TO SUNDAY)
We take any changes in schedules very seriously and only do so when we believe there is a safety concern.
After much prayer and with your safety being paramount to everything FAN does, we are moving the LBJ Tournament to Sunday, February 27th. The weather is too unpredictable at this time, and we felt it more important to make the call now rather than wait another day. Cold and wet are part of tournament fishing, however, we are not comfortable with anyone having to potentially drive on unsafe roads at 5 in the morning.
We will continue with the trailering tournament protocol and will hold the weigh in at LBJ Yacht Club and Marina as originally planned.Â
We are fortunate to be able to make this change on short notice as there are many logistics that needed to work out.
The lake will be off limits on Saturday.Â

FOR YOUR SAFETY, THIS WILL BE A TRAILERING EVENT. PLEASE EXPECT HEAVY BOAT TRAFFIC DUE TO MULTIPLE TOURNAMENTS BEING HELD AT THE LAKE ON FEBRUARY 26TH.Â
This means you are free to launch at the ramp of your choice. There are several boat ramps available to avoid larger groups and lines at any one ramp. Please keep in mind that there will be another tournament on Lake LBJ that day, so heavy traffic at the boat ramps is to be expected. Arrive early and be prepared to get on and off the water as quickly and safely as possible. There will not be a physical check-in location that morning, instead we will be using GroupMe.

You may launch from your chosen ramp as early as 6AM, however you may not start fishing until FIRST CAST at 7AM.
Last cast will be 1PM and you will have 2 hours to get to the weigh in location.
Please be mindful of the time required to get boats on trailers and get to the weigh in location.
Scales will be open at 12PM and will close at 3:00 PM (unless otherwise indicated by tournament director on day of event due to unforeseen circumstances)
(Keep in mind – two teams will be polygraphed!)
EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN AT THE END OF THE TOURNAMENT OR RISK NOT RECIEVEING AOY POINTS – If you choose not to come to weigh, please text us to let us know you are off the water NO EXCEPTIONS!
YOU MUST HAVE AN ADULT CAPTAIN AND TWO QUALIFIED STUDENTS OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. Only Captains and student anglers allow in boat during tournament.
Weigh-in will still be held at LBJ Yacht Club & Marina: 200 S Wirtz Dam Rd, Horseshoe Bay, TX 78657.
All FAN Anglers must be registered to the FAN GroupMe App and check-in with text messaging when prompted by FAN on the morning of the tournament.
