Faith Angler Network blew into the championship on May 17th at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Airport Beach Park on Lake Waco.
The wind never let up. From Saturday’s practice through all of Championship Sunday, steady 20–25 mph winds battered Lake Waco, forcing anglers to grind it out and embrace the elements while making constant strategic adjustments to stay competitive.
Sixty-four of Central Texas’ best middle and high school teams participated, all receiving the 2026 FAN Championship ring to commemorate the weekend, along with a chance to earn their share of $18,068 in scholarships and prizes.
Although all earned the well-deserved championship qualifier title, only a few made it to the podium with epic catches to win scholarships and prizes.

SENIOR RECOGNITION

Following the weigh-in, we invited the seniors to come forward to be recognized and presented each of them with an Armor of God medallion. Jeff then read Ephesians 6:11–18, speaking from the passage about putting on the full armor of God—standing firm in truth, walking in righteousness, holding onto faith, and remaining rooted in God’s Word as they step into life beyond high school.
It was a moment of reflection and gratitude, honoring not only what they accomplished on the water, but who they are becoming off the water.—reminding them that the same faith, discipline, and perseverance carried through this season will continue to guide them into the future.
As we conclude another season, we remain true to our core values of providing a fun and healthy place to experience God and the outdoors—building character one fish at a time, through faith, friendships, and fishing.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, partners, and the entire FAN family for your continued support, encouragement, and investment in these student-athletes. This season would not be possible without you.
